In the evening, an old town with lights, music in the squares and plans designed for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christmas 2026 begins on Wednesday 25 November at 18:00 with the switching-on of the lights in Plaza del Prado: a family concert, open to all and free, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/agenda365.es\/gandia\/evento\/71a1a745f1fd9cdc1640a54953a7632a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">agenda365<\/a>. Time to swap the beach for the squares.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A traditional Christmas, with the sea in front of you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>December in Gand\u00eda begins with a light you don&#8217;t expect. By ten in the morning the sun is already warming the terrace, the sand is smooth after the night and more bikes than cars pass along the promenade. You wear a jumper, not a coat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the evening you change scenery. You head into the old town, a few kilometres from the beach, where the lights come on early because it&#8217;s dark before six. In December the beach is wide and quiet, and children can run without dodging towels. If you fancy more nature, <a href=\"https:\/\/apartamentos-gandia.com\/en\/discover-the-marjal-de-gandia-natural-spaces-to-enjoy\/\">the Marjal wetland<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/apartamentos-gandia.com\/en\/routes-and-nature-in-gandia-perfect-getaways-for-winter-and-all-year-round\/\">nearby routes<\/a> are just a few minutes away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At midday, an unhurried lunch.<\/strong> A rice dish on a terrace on the seafront or at the Grau, the old fishing port.
